Worship through Music

At Roebuck Baptist Church we are blessed to have so many talented musicians who love the Lord and understand our role in leading worship. Check out the different music ministries we have listed below and see if you might want to become a part of this exciting ministry.

Sanctuary Choir

The backbone of our music ministry is our Sanctuary Choir. This group rehearses every Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. and leads our congregation in worship every Sunday morning. In addition to singing each week they do special seasonal concerts and have premiered two musicals at Choral Festival. Every adult in our music ministry must be a part of our Sanctuary     Choir.

Worship Team

Our Worship Team consists of six singers and live instruments. This group leads in worship every Sunday night and about half the time on Sunday mornings. This is an auditioned group of very talented musicians who are dedicated to leading our congregation to the throne of God.

Orchestra

Our church orchestra plays in our morning worship about two times a month and accompanies our congregational worship. To play in this group one must play at least a ninth grade level and be able handle the music. This group rehearses at 9:00 a.m. on the morning that it plays.

 Handbells

Our Handbell Choir adds a different sound to our worship on special occasions and does a great job. This group plays several times during the school year and rehearses on Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m.

Saturated (Youth Ensemble)

This is a talented group of teenagers who love to worship God and use their musical talents for the Lord. They rehearse on Sunday afternoon at 4:29 p.m. and they have their own band.

Children’s Choirs

We have two age graded children’s choirs. The Primary Choir (age 4 through kindergarten) sings simple songs and learns basic fundamentals of music. Our Junior Choir does two major productions a year as well as learning basic music fundamentals. Both groups rehearse during the school year and have a program at Christmas time and in the spring.
