Pray for the Ashaninca Indians in
Peru. Some specific requests are:
Shevoja
We encourage all church members to devote thoughts and prayers to the people of
Peru because these are only a few of the needs that were expressed while we were there. Remember, we are the only Christians who have adopted this people group and if we don’t pray for them, no one will.
- Pastor Benito: as he organizes future trips and encouragement as he ministers to the people.
- Pastor of Shevoja: that he will be able to praise God through losing his ability to walk, encouragement to continue seeking God.
- All the believers that traveled to memorize scripture: that they would be able to witness to their community.
- Health problems of Shevoja: the people suffer from malnutrition, skin diseases and everyday obstacles.
- Children: that they will be properly cared for, they would be able to see God’s love while facing obstacles such as abuse, alcohol, neglect, malnutrition and worms.
- The community: that they will be able to accept Christianity and want to know more about it, and to accept it into their culture. Also, that they will learn how to act as Christians and be able to see what is wrong in God’s eyes.
- Church Missions: that our church will have a passion to go to these people and train them to be like Christ.
2nd Village
After visiting this village, God laid it on our hearts to share its needs with the church. Pray for unity among the people, for the immorality to cease especially among the Christians, for the people to have a desire to become Christians, for the people’s health and daily needs, and for the cultural religions not to interfere with Christianity. Because the adults are so immoral the children have to daily face dealing with drunkenness, abuse, neglect, starvation and lack of love and affection. We have specific request from church members. We ask that you will pray for them daily because you are the only ones who know of their needs.
· Ricardo Tello Flores: wants to go to other villages to mission but doesn’t have the means to travel.
· Luisa: spiritual growth; struggling with neighbor she doesn’t get along with.
· Amalia Coshanti Piamante: pray for her relationship with God
· Patricia: wants to learn more about God so that she can be a kids Sunday School teacher.
· Manuel
Campos Rios: strong believer but his wife (Lidia) is not a believer and she doesn’t support his faith.
· Rosata: family is experiencing health problems, pray that they will continue to follow Jesus through their trials
Marcial Campos Torres and Pablo Rojes Vosquez: (pastors of the church) pray that they will be godly and spiritual leaders for the people, that they will have constant encouragement and that they will not be shunned because of their faith.
